Alice Braga and Alia Shawkat

Alia Shawkat has been a TV actress for over twenty decades. The actress was born 18th April 1989 from Riverside California. She played Maeby in the Fox show Arrested Development, a part that won her TV Land Future Classic Award. She was a cast member of the film Whip It alongside Ellen Page. Shawkat appeared as Hannah as a character on State of Grace between 2001 and 2004. In the role of Maeby Funke Shawkat was a regular cast member of Arrested Development for the entire run of the show from 2003 to in 2018. Shawkat's performance was occasionally singled-out as a worthy recipient of praise. Brian M. Palmer described Shawkat as "one of the brightest lights on a series that has only bright lights" and Scott Weinberg (eFilmCritic) called Shawkat a hilarious, young actress. The A.V. Shawkat revealed to the club that in 2010a large portion of Shawkat's formative experiences as an actress occurred during Arrested Development: Mitch Hurwitz was my father figure. In certain ways it was great as I felt that my knowledge of comedy increased significantly. Shawkat starred in Har Mar Superstar and Eva Mendes' Tall Boy music clip of Whip It. In the month of October, 2009, it was revealed that Shawkat Har Mar and Whip It's star Ellen Page would produce and create a series for HBO named Stitch N Bitch. Based on The Hollywood Reporter, the show follows two incredibly cool hipsters moving from Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood to the Los Angeles Silver Lake enclave to pursue careers as artists of any kind. Alice Braga also portrayed the character as Teresa Mendoza in the crime drama thriller television show Queen of the South (2016-2021). She received huge praise for her performances.
