tito ortizJacob Christopher "Tito" Ortiz born on the 23rd of January, 1975) is an American mixed martial artist and politician. He is currently a Combate Americas promotee. Ortiz is most famous for his involvement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where, as an former Light Heavyweight Champion from April 14, 2000 through September 26 2003, he was a holder of this title from September 26, 2003 to September 14, 2003. He was the first to enter the sport with fighters such as Randy Couture or Chuck Liddell. Ortiz became the biggest pay per view draw for 2006 due to his fights with Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock Ortiz and Liddell.
