Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding is a British singer and songwriter. She was born Elena Jane Goulding on 30 December, 1986 in Hereford. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her catchy electronic pop songs "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding stands at the forefront as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap, of mainstream contemporary music and of independent, artistic pop. Her soprano voice and ability to write emotionally authentic songs is what makes her stand out. Polydor Records signed her to one of their record labels and she was preparing the debut album.
