Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known by her highly commendable performances in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards, including an Oscar for the movie Piano. Her acting career began on Broadway through a myriad of Broadway as well as Off Broadway projects. Since the time she was in school, she portrayed Helen Keller in a play in fifth grade. Her mumps left her blind and deaf in the one ear, but she refused to let that to stop her from becoming an actor. After studying drama in college and moving to New York City with her ambitions in mind. Hunter was stuck in the elevator of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. Together they created Broadway Crimes of the Heart which marked Hunter's Broadway debut. When she moved to Los Angeles, she began looking for roles in films. The role she was offered came in the role of an actress playing the leading character Swing Shift. She has since appeared in numerous films and TV movies and series in a long career that spans more than three decades. Holly Hunter received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and she also received her the Women in Film Lucy Award.
