Holly-Hunter
Holly Hunter is an American actress and producer well recognized for her high-quality performance in movies such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. She has won many awards for her performance, including an Oscar. In her early years she began acting on stage in a number of Broadway or Off Broadway productions. The actress has had a passion for acting since when she was in the high school. Her first role in a show in the fifth grade was as Helen Keller. Mumps led her to lose her hearing in one of her ears, but this did not stop her from pursuing her dream. As a teenager, Hunter studied drama before moving into New York City. Hunter had her Broadway debut due to an accidental encounter in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote on Broadway Crimes of the Heart. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated in Los Angeles. In the three decades since she was a part of the film Holly Hunter has been featured in a variety of television movies and series. Holly Hunter was awarded a Hollywood Walk of Fame Star as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
