Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter was an American actress who became famous due to her roles in films Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. The film Piano earned her an Oscar. In her early years she began playing on stage for a number of Broadway or Off Broadway productions. When she was a kid, Helen Keller was her favourite character in a fifth class production. The mumps that she contracted left her blind and deaf in the one ear. However, she did not allow this to stop her from becoming an actor. While in college, she studied drama, she moved in New York City with her goals with her sights set. Through a random encounter, she got stuck in an elevator alongside writer Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the play 'The Broadway Crimes of the Heart and became Hunter's debut. Her first film role came after she relocated in Los Angeles. Over the past three decades Holly Hunter has been on various TV series and movies. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as the Women in Film Lucy Award.
